Feature Request: Beats & Page number - BradeD - 01-07-2024 The Beats & Page Counter in Timeline is a useful feature. I spend most of my time in the Research tab, would it be possible in a future version to include it on the Whiteboard? Maybe next to the synchronize views icon. RE: Feature Request: Beats & Page number - perholmes - 01-08-2024 Hi, Yes, something like this is in the cards. Basically, the timeline and the whiteboard are growing towards each other, as basically an "overview" timeline and a "detail" timeline. DaVinci Resolve has adopted the same pattern. Things like emotion graphs and big-picture concerns go in the timeline, and the whiteboard is for the nitty-gritty of the beats themselves. Since the time information already exists, it should be quite simple to make the whiteboard header show time. What's holding it up is a bigger-picture insight about what's needed. What is the totality of things anyone might want to see in the whiteboard header, and how much could/should people be able to see at one time. For me personally, I feel that the scene headings don't give me the sense of knowing where I am that I was expecting. But a planned feature will automatically color scenes based on int/ext or night/day, or by location color. Then that view could become important for knowing where you are. The bad version of this would be a big stack of information blocking the upper third of the whole whiteboard area. So I'm trying to get a picture of what's actually useful to be able to see in one go. RE: Feature Request: Beats & Page number - BradeD - 01-08-2024 That would be great. I' writing my first feature and spend most of my time in the research tab. |
