After the update, I'm not able to use Undo or Redo. They are just greyed out.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix / workaround?

Hi,

Is this 3.2.11? I'm testing here, and Undo/Redo seems to work normally. Are you undoing text, or undoing changes in the app, like moving beats around? Are you accessing undo from the menu or keyboard shortcuts.

They are greyed out for me too, in the Edit menu. I have been using the keyboard shortcuts that can be found in the edit menu.

I'm using 3.2.11. I'm writing in the script. I adjusted something then want to undo it and neither the keyboard shortcuts or the Edit / Menu / Undo work. The edit menu undo is grey.

I restarted and the Command-Z shortcut is working now at least so that better.

To be clear, the Undo function currently acts on everything *but* text editing, i.e. moving beats around etc. If you exit editing a beat, and press undo, you undo to the whole change to the beat since you started editing. This hasn't changed, and while we can debate the wisdom of how the menu works, I'm pretty sure you remember incorrectly how it used to be.

So basically, we have two undo systems, and the fact that this hasn't been a traffic jam is a miracle. If we ignore the menu and only think in Ctrl-Z/Ctrl-Shift-Z, while you're editing text, undo affects the text editor, one character or word at a time. Once you're done editing the beat, undo is about the change to the beat as a whole, and selecting undo rolls back the whole change since you started editing the text of that beat.

So if you use keyboard shortcuts, you're doing text-undo while editing text, and object-change-undo everywhere else in the app.

Now, about the menu, there's a problem, that the text editor loses focus when you use the menu, which commits your change in its entirety, and then when you select Undo, you're rolling back the whole last edit you did to the beat. There seems to be a delay in the menu ungraying, and I don't know if that's new. But if you (1) edit some text, (2) clicking outside of it, and (3) go to the menu, Undo is correctly shown, and this rolls back the last edits to the beat in their entirety.

For right now, it doesn't seem like anything has changed.

For me, now that I can undo adjustments in my writing like I used to, it's fine. Prior to my restart, that wasn't working, which was going to be a major problem. But as long as I can explore script adjustments and undo as needed its fine.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't have worked for the first time, we'll keep an eye out for other reports.
