Hi, I would love to name characters like “A” “B” or “C”, unfortunately there is no such thing in the drop down menu, expect the “label”. But it would be handy to directly give the characters numbers or letters. Any help?

Hi,

This has been requested before, and I support the idea. It’s a little more detailed in practice, because even if you have one character walking from place to place to place, as far as the app is concerned, there isn’t a single, unifying character concept. It’s seeing a unique character on every stop that just happens to have the same color.

In the 3D version built in Unreal Engine coming out later this year, things like Characters and Shots actually have a unifying concept, and graphics hover next to its marks or path, and it choose the best place to show it as you move around, like a HUD. This is really the solution you want, because even if you place manual names, you can be panned in a way that you can’t see it, and then you’re no better off.
