# Upgrading errors!

I tried to update my Shot Designer from a 1.7 version the most current and I encountered multiple installation errors during the process. I have errors on the installation and I can no longer open my previous or current Shot Designer….only errors on installation or reinstallation.

I tried a complete removal and reinstall and I have the same “error” results.

I’d love some insight and guidance so I can get back to work! lol. Thank you.

This is usually because the app is running, and therefore can’t be overwritten. Please close the app and try again.
