On Mac 15.4.1 running Causality 4.0.29 (“check for updates” says it’s the latest release)
Import an FDX file. A single short scene is enough.
Right click on the new block.
Select Tags/New Tag
Set the tag name and a color and close.
Boom. Immediate crash. I sent a crash report, but you’ll find it’s super easy to reproduce.
Workaround: Import the FDX and save it as CAU. Restart Causality. New tag won’t crash it now.
Hi,
Is this still the case? We tend to be on top of crashes, and if someone is crashing, we usually at least know about it.

Yes, still happens in 4.0.32 on MacOS 15.4.1.
Super easy to duplicate. Takes less than a minute. If it doesn’t happen there, let me know, and I’ll narrow it down to a test file that I can send.
(Sorry about the delay. Long vacation down under.)

Hi,
Good catch. There’s apparently some state that isn’t ready after an import, which likely hints at a less than casual problem in the processing order, so this is important.
