This is unfortunately something that can’t be fixed without going to Qt 6 (the underlying framework). We’ve been staying on 5.x, because version 6 cuts off several versions of Mac OS X.
Once Apple decides to kill off old Macs, they force every tool-maker to upgrade as well to be compatible, and this trickles down to forcing apps to not support old Mac versions. We feel bad for people having to throw out perfectly good computers because Apple decided to arbitrarily kill them. I have machines from 25 years ago that run Linux perfectly fine, and even 15 year old machines that run Windows. There’s no reason for it other than cynical greed, but that’s the world we live in. So we’ve avoided upgrading, but then we’re stuck with not supporting new Apple window features.
