So I used to use lane overview to have a better idea of the balance of POV and working temporarily on major threads to integrate but now it’s gone. I’m using Causality to write novels. I don’t have many lanes usually (3-5 max) but it can expand while writing the story then shrink at barebones at completion. I used this also to track notes and todo.
I don’t know how to manage that now. I can’t use character overview because it’s not exclusive to POV but let’s say, I have a major thing that I want to distribute alongside the story, so I work on it on a lane, make it a tag or more and merge all of that later on my POV/stable lanes, now I can’t see the big picture.
There’s tags with lines and dots now, so I figured I should make categories and put it in there so everything is clearer but I don’t get the same results, it’s less visible to me. But I think it’s what I will use, at least I will test that a bit but I don’t know. Any insight? How do you manage that?

Great feedback! So, we took a number of things out for 4.0 because we weren’t sure that anyone was using them, and they were conceptually in the way. But the code is still in there, and deliberately kept around for a while so we can bring it back if there are actual use cases.
The block and lane overviews weren’t terribly in the way, and had no baggage in being kept around, so we can bring them back. We’ll probably default them to being off, but I’m happy to bring them back. We might just have to turn them back on.
There are other things that are more irreversible, for example giving up on the permanent inspector on the right-hand side, which is hostile to mobile apps, and had a lot of baggage.
Gives out a couple of minor releases to bring it back. I was just waiting for anyone to say sincerely that it mattered to them at all.
That’s amazing. Thanks for your help and sure, I’ll wait for the update. It will preserve me hours of finding a new workflow and playing with the 4.0 a bit, I can already see how tags overview would find its place in all of this.
Causality plays a major role in my process and I’m glad you’re still polishing it.
