Hmm, we can’t reproduce this in 4.0.27 or any neighboring version on neither Windows or Mac. Is this 100% consistent for you? I’d love if you could test again from scratch.

I had adapted my own paragraph styles and my own shortcuts.

So, I tried on versions 4.0.20,22,27 and 29. And it’s still the same.

I tried with a new document, but my styles did not return to reset.

I’m still unclear about your situation.

Please make a new screenplay document. Can you press Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+9 to change between the pre-defined paragraph styles?

Hi! I had to reinstall a 2024 version 3 that I had. With all Causality versions from 4.0 onward, I can’t get the keyboard shortcuts to work, which is a real issue for me. Is this the right place for technical support, or should I contact support by email? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

This is the right place. We tested this, and we can’t reproduce it. It’s curious that it works in version 3, since we haven’t touched that part. On Mac, the key is Cmd, not Ctrl, but if it works in 3, it should work in 4. We’re about 50% Mac here.

Just tested again. If I stand on any paragraph and press repeatedly Cmd-2 and Cmd-3, it switches between Action and Character.

I’d like if you could try this with both Ctrl and Cmd, to see if there’s possibly some swapping. I tend to run with Ctrl and Cmd swapped in Mac OS X so it matches Windows. But if for example if have a bug that ignores this swapping, and this bug is new in version 4, then perhaps the keys could be “unswapped”. I’d love if you could try both.
