Again, I love Causality!
Would it be possible to add the ability to copy and paste (i.e. duplicate) Beats?

Hi,
Yes, this is happening! It was always intended, but because everything is linked to everything in Causality, you suddenly get brand new questions about what to copy with you (tags, characters, lanes, versions, whatever). Then we’d have to ask people about it all the time, and we thought that this was even worse than not having it.
We needed a use-case for why people want to copy/paste beats in order to figure out how to automate it, and then suddenly it became clear that people want to copy/paste beats in order to try something else.
That means that we should copy literally everything, including all versions, because if the experiment is successful, the old beat will be deleted, and the new beat will become the only one. And then it should contain everything.
So the question is, is this also your use case?

Hi Per, this is fantastic news!
As a creative, I appreciate the ability to iterate and adapt quickly. While Cloning is useful, it lacks the fluidity and ease of use I desire.
What do you think of adding a “per Beat” drop-down menu where users can select elements to Copy/Duplicate at the Beat level via a right-click on a Beat’s header? If left unchanged, the Default settings would apply.
